About Me

When I was at school, there were a few things I wanted to be (like a musician) and there were a few things I knew I wouldn’t be. One of these few things I knew I wouldn’t be was a writer…

Fast forward to present day and here I am, writing the “About Me” section of my blog, funny how things work out huh? The reason I thought I would never be a writer was because I always thought I was terrible at writing in my english lessons in school but it turns out I’m not too bad, in fact I always have been pretty good with writing, I just hated doing it by hand (seriously shocking handwriting) and having to do it on command.

So how did I discover this? Well in the latter half of 2014, I stumbled onto a guy by the name of Scott Dinsmore. Scott has created a society called “Live Your Legend” and it’s full of people who are inspired to find and do work that they love, I was hooked. I signed up to one of his courses called “Live Off Your Passion” and one of the first steps was to create a blog and get writing to get the creative juices flowing. Naturally I was fairly anxious about this, the whole “what if people think my writing is stupid” was running through my head and I admit I avoided it for a few weeks. Eventually I figured I can’t expect to feel the change if I don’t embrace it and on a miserable Tuesday evening in Rotorua, My Music Is Me was born.

Since I have started I have had nothing but positive feedback from people and although there isn’t a massive following yet, it feels good to know that people appreciate and can relate with what I write about. I have also delved further into my course with Scott Dinsmore and have found myself in a world of what I call “Inspirational Entrepreneurs”, full of passion and excitement about making the world a better and happier place.

It’s an exciting journey for me and if you’re reading this, I hope you enjoy following me on it. I appreciate all feedback and suggestions so if you want to get in touch or you have an idea you would like to see me write about, send me a message on the contact page here or leave a comment on one of my posts. The easiest way to stay up-to-date with all my new posts is to subscribe by entering your name and email address off to the left there. I promise I won’t spam you or give your email address to anyone else, you’re safe with me.

Happy exploring everyone!
